Two brothers, an alien biscuit mascot, and a sound healer dropped everything and moved
together to Camden, New Jersey. The chemical factory across the street explodes into a
seven alarm fire releasing mysterious chemical trails in the air while recording their new
EP. Their lives haven’t been the same since and neither may yours…
The Maniac Agenda is the mutation of the multi-award winning producers (formally known as
the Maniac All-Stars) into their own electronic rock project. This New Jersey based trio feels
at home in the birthplace of America’s first recording studio, but that isn’t the only record their
hometown holds. Living in the most dangerous city in America, they are surrounded by struggles,
hardships, and have even fallen victim to their own, but The Maniac Agenda have found a balance
and the power through struggles which they capture in their new EP.
Best described by Dennis “RA” of the band “It’s like if we kidnapped System of A Down,
The Mars Volta, Pendulum,Skrillex, and the Dali llama and trapped them in The Matrix"
The Maniac Agenda’s new untitled EP is a captivating and moving debut that heralds the
arrival of a significant new sound, one whose strikes out on its own territory yet feels
familiar in the best possible way. Antonio “S.A.T” Gonzalez, Dennis “RA” Gonzalez, and Leonardo
“LCR” Rizzo helm both song writing and production duties while recruiting an eclectic blend of
collaborators from all walks of life. World music jam band Telepath and Questlove from The Roots
have already made contributions.
“We love destroying genres in our remixes so we wanted to recreate that but touching
on subject matters we enjoy. This time with bass wobbles dirtier than my internet search history”
- Antonio “S.A.T.”
The maniac sound started in the heat of battle on the virtual battlefield of the online remix contest.
Under the remixing alias The Maniac All-Stars, they have won honors in eight international remix
contests earning them Questlove playing drums on a track for their album, a single publishing
deal on major label Concord Records, their first show at the Camp Bisco 8 music festival and
mentorship sessions with both Questlove and Celldweller.
Their debut remix of Celldweller’s “Louder Than Words” was released by FiXT Records on Celldweller’s
“Louder Than Words” remix album which peaked at #50 on Itunes Electronic charts in April, 2011.
The Maniacs followed up with their remix of Celldweller‘s “So Long Sentiment” and being released later
this year on FiXT.
